All the best Mel! FWIW, I don’t think whining and complaining is easier… it only *feels* like its easier because that is the habit that you have been most exposed to. One day, you will probably look back and realise that being proactive is actually easier because you have built up your strength from within and people are attracted to that and will want to help you.

I know what you mean- I read the 7 Habits for highly effective teenagers when I was 14 but I recently went back and read the original version- and now I am actively trying to apply them to my lives. Also, I don’t know if you have heard this but Stephen Covey just launched an online community last week (www.stephencovey.com). It’s worth checking out- especially if you are reading 7 habits. It’s meant to go alongside the book to help implement principles and provide a support group and to track your goals. And it’s fun! Anyways you should check it out!
