What a great idea! I’ve never had friendship cake before. I must try this. So when I finally make my cake, I just use any recipe?
Use the recipe on the second page of the link E, I’m not sure how you would go about using an ordinary cake recipe. It’s yummy!
I’ve just downloaded your recipe after trying one from Bestrecipes.com.au that didn’t work (the starter had no yeast and didn’t ferment at all). I’m hoping for better results this time [g]. I see from your blog that you live in Canberra too; nice to ‘meet’ you. If you’re interested I’ll let you know how I get on.
