Easiest Short Rows ever!

I just found the BEST tutorial for knitting short rows.  http://www.cocoknits.com/info/tutorials/shortrows.html It’s the simplest, easiest way ever, and looks great!

Red-Eyed Tree Frog Longies and Nappy

These are some knitted Longies and a cloth nappy that I made for a friend. I dyed the wool using food colouring, and the frog was traced from a greeting card and embroidered in wool. I’m really happy with how they turned out! The longies are actually a bit darker than they appear in the photo, the flash has washed out the colour a bit.

Scarf Swap

I was recently in a scarf swap that was organised on Woolaholics Forum.
This is the scarf I received from M in Western Aust. It’s very long and designed to be folded in half and looped around your neck. Lovely and soft and warm!!!

And this is the one I sent to A. It’s a moebius scarf, see the half twist in the knitting? And yes, it’s actually knitted with the twist in it! I know you can cheat and knit a straight piece and then graft it together, but this is knitted with the twist in. I loved it so much I didn’t want to send it off, so now I’m making myself one exactly the same! A loved it too!

Wooly Mail

Received four balls of Noro Kureyon #178 today! Gorgeous earthy brown/green/purple colours in this. I’m planning on knitting a Moebius scarf with this, and I should be able to start tonight! Yay! I had to frog my first moebius scarf, the moebius part worked out fine, but I knitted it in twisted knit stitch and it really didn’t work out well. I guess it didn’t help that I knitted the twisted knit wrong too! LOL!
