Well, I made the decision yesterday to close down Craft Designs Online. I hadn’t had the response I had hoped for from designers, and then I found a website (You Can Make This) that was doing the same thing, was very big and well-established and so I decided not to compete with them!

I’m a bit sad about having to close it down before it really got started, but on the other hand I now have a lot more time for coaching, which is a much higher priority! It’s been a great learning experience and really positive overall.

Well, I’ve made more updates to the website, including the About Us page, and I’ve started emailing designers to ask if they are interesting in selling their designs through CDO…. My heavens the nerves are amazing!!! I sent off the first fifty emails and my hands started shaking! Well, I decided this morning that I was going to have a productive day and it’s certainly been that!

Now to go and try to sleep with huge surges of adrenalin….. probably should have sent the emails in the morning when I had the whole day to calm down….

My new business venture! Craft Designs Online is an online shop to buy and instantly download craft patterns. So far I’m in the middle of designing the website, searching for and contacting designers, and planning marketing! It’s exciting, interesting, challenging and nerve-wracking all at the same time! I’m planning to open mid to end july, so just over two months to get all this done, including moving house in the middle! Eek! Actually, my main concern is moving in mid july and having drama’s with getting internet access back on at the same time I’m trying to launch this! Luckily I know a local computer shop owner who has an internet cafe and lets me use his internet for a ridiculously low price! Might have to take him a bottle of wine this time…..
